Course Overview

The training will enable participant configure Oracle database for multilingual applications, practice various methods of recovering database using RMAN and Flashback technology, administer database efficiently by using database technologies such as the Resource Manager, the Scheduler, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and VLDB features, set up secure database using Virtual Private Database, and learn how to efficiently move data from database to database.

Course Objectives

On completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Employ SQL functions to generate and retrieve customized data
  • Run data manipulation statements (DML) to update data in the Oracle Database 11g
  • Control user access and manage schema objects
  • Install Oracle Database 11g and configure a database
  • Perform backup and recovery of a database
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain a database
  • Configure Oracle Net services
  • Detect block corruption and take appropriate measures to correct
  • Control database resource usage with Resource Manager
  • Review database log files for diagnostic purposes
  • Customize language-dependent behavior for the database and individual sessions
  • Implement a secure database

Course Overview

AutoCAD covers the essential core topics for working with the AutoCAD software. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that enable the student to create and edit a simple drawing, and then continue to develop those tools. More advanced tools are also introduced throughout the training guide. Not every command or option is covered, because the intent is to show the most essential tools and concepts, such as understanding the AutoCAD workspace and user interface, using basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools, organizing drawing objects on layers, inserting reusable symbols (blocks), preparing a layout to be plotted and adding text, hatching and dimensions. The course begins with creation of wireframe models, and evolves into complex creation of solid models in later units. You will also learn how to view, rotate and shade your 3D models along with plotting them.

General Objective:

The courses aim at equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to manage logistics, transport and general supply chain operations in their respective organizations.

  • In addition, participants must have worked in a Logistics and Transport environment for a minimum of three years.

INTERNATIONAL ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT – ADILT

The Advanced Diploma aims to give senior managers and leader’s strategic management and decision-making skills to enable them to aspire to the highest levels of management. The Advanced Diploma also includes organizational planning. Participants are expected to become familiar with analytical concepts and to use them in their management role. They will be aware of ethical issues, sustainability and global environmental issues.

Candidates must successfully complete five (5) modules

Entry Requirements:

  • Possession of the International Diploma in Logistics and Transport of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport or
  • First Degree/Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport or related discipline with accredited institution.
  • In addition, participants must have worked in a Logistics and Transport environment for a minimum of three years.

Course Fee:

  • International Certificate in Logistics and Transport (CILT): GHC 2,050.00 (Ghanaian) and GHC 2,250.00 (Non Ghanaian). In addition, students will pay an equivalent of £170 to CILT International for International Student Registration.
  • International Diploma in Logistics and Transport (DILT): GHC 2,790.00 (Ghanaian) and GHC 2,990.00 (Non Ghanaian). In addition, students will pay an equivalent of £200 to CILT International for International Student Registration.
  • International Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport (ADILT): GHC3, 200.00 (Ghanaian) and GHC 3,500.00 (Non Ghanaian). In addition, students will pay an equivalent of £230 to CILT International for International Student Registration.
DURATION:
International Certificate in Logistics and Transport(CILT):
  1. Six (6) Months: (Five (5) Months course work plus One (1) Month for revision, assignments and examination)
  2. (B) International Diploma in Logistics and Transport (DILT): The programme covers two (2) semesters
  3. (C) International Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport (ADILT): The programme covers trimesters (3) and will commence on 24th April 2017

VENUE: Lectures will be held on the GTUC – Tesano Campus, Accra

FACULTY: The programme will be facilitated by experienced GTUC, CILT faculty and experts from industry.

COURSE DELIVERY SCHEDULE:

Saturdays: 8:00am – 6:00pm for Advanced Diploma,

Evening: 5:00pm – 8:00pm for Diploma and 6:00pm – 8:00pm for Certificate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
